It all began when I got sick of seeing blackheads on my nose. I had to have a closer look and  I noticed my pores are more visible than before. So I had to take an immediate action that night. After reading bunch reviews about products for pore and black head, I wanted to get The Body Shop's Seaweed Mask or Origin's Charcoal Mask at first but seems like it's just a lot and  couldn't wait another day to get it.  So I went out quick and got these lovely Microdermabrasion Polish Age Defense & Conditioning Clay Mask from Botanics'. I have never used Botanics products so I was bit excited to use these products.

Both products are doing a really good job at minimizing blackheads and leaving my skin smooth and clean. The Microdermabrasion Polish has many small particles that will scrub your skin. It wasn't too harsh on skin nor too creamy. It gives you a feeling that will eliminate nasty impurities stuff on your skin. After warm wash, my skin was smooth like a baby's butt!

The Conditioning Clay Mask was my favorite. As you can see in a picture above, I saw bunch spots on my nose that I can only interpret as the mask doing its job. As I keep using it, I see not a lot of those spots anymore which is good! The application was a bit messy. I actually spilt some on the floor when I first opened it. I think it's because there's a good amount of water in the bottle, you might have a few spill accidents. The good thing about it was that I could easily cleaned it with water.

The next day when I tried to wear a makeup, I was very satisfied. Foundation was applied flawlessly and the blackheads on my nose was hardly visible.

Nobody, unless you are doing some science experiment with your body, wants to have or keep those ugly blackheads on their nose.  I recently notice some of my pore is getting bigger and attracts more unpleasant stuffs into my nose- such as makeup residue, dust, and oil etc. So I thought maybe it's time for me to get a good exfoliating wash that will help me to achieve flawless/porcelain skin by getting rid of some of the unpleasant stuff!

I've researched some products and found so many. So, I tried to  narrowed it down a bit to six products that have higher stars/positive comments. I personally think that great skin makes all the difference when you wear makeup. So, I don't know if any of you tried any of these products but even if you haven't, I would definitely love to here from you for any recommendations. It's always hard to get some quality skin care products since I don't know much about skin care ( barely into it. )

e.l.f | Lip Exfoliator Clear

Grace Davidson Wednesday, April 17, 2013 24 Comments

As I mentioned on twitter the other day, E.L.F had 40% sale so I purchased bunch of their products online and finally got it today! I always have dry and flaky lips. When I use lip balm, seems like it only make my lips calm & smoother for several hours and goes back to dry and flaky.  So when I saw this item on their website, I was thinking I should try it since their products are worth more than its cost and I had such good impressions with e.l.f's nail polishes that I bought.

All Natural Rose Moisture Spray

Grace Davidson Tuesday, April 2, 2013 7 Comments

I want to introduce my new ALL NATURAL Rose Moisture Spray to my lovely readers. I own Clinique moisture surge face spray and I absolutely loved it until I used this one. You can find my Clinique moisture surge face spray review here
However recently, I am really into all natural beauty products. So I made my own moisturizing face spray with rose that I've grown in my back yard. No harmful stuff for my skin since my roses are chemical free. The thing about this spray is that it is an emollient and demulcent moisturizer. It does its job as a moisturizer but not only that, it also soothe my skin and made it smoother! The other day, I did quick spray on my face and was watching TV. My boyfriend looked at me, touched my face and asking what did i use( He actually said he wants it too.) Since then, my boyfriend and I are using it every night before we go to sleep or spray whenever we feel like our skin needs it. One quick spray at night lasts long time and you can feel it even next day at noon Every time when we used it, we were amazed how this thing works better than brand name product. To be honest, I don't think I will buy another moisture spray from any other beauty company. I mean, my own natural stuff works better than 'Chemical added' products so, why should i? After I used this spray, I got zero break out, no skin trouble and no flaky skin. I made it too much so having a  few extra bottles of spray. I don't think I can use it all in time. So I want to share this awesome natural moisturizer with my lovely readers. if you are interested in trying one, just email me at thegraceofbeauty@gmail.com

Beauty DIY | Rose Water

Grace Davidson Thursday, March 28, 2013 7 Comments
Original source from freepeople.com/2013/03/diy-rose-water/
Spring is a great time to pamper yourself! Loving and taking care of yourself is always important, and this DIY will help you do just that. Rose water was first made by chemists in the Islamic Golden Age as a perfume and beverage, and in the years since it has become quite popular for a number of uses.   Most commonly it is used as a toner or body spray for the skin – the natural fragrance and moisturizing properties make it especially refreshing. It can also be used to flavor certain dishes, or added to lemonade for a delicious summer beverage. Make a batch and keep some for yourself, and bottle the rest up as gifts for your friends and loved ones!

Beauty Remedies

Grace Davidson Sunday, March 24, 2013 0 comment
Hello lovelies! Please excuse my dusty desk. Me and my boyfriend are upgrading our house so even I clean every day, it gets dusty in a second. These are what I got from yesterday. Recently I am very interested in  D.I.Y beauty remedies that I can simply make it at home with my basic cooking skill. So I purchased some important ingredients for homemade beauty remedies!

1.Tea tree oil - Tea tree oil is an excellent treatment for acne. One study found tea tree oil to be just as effective as benzoyl peroxide, but without the negative side effects like redness and peeling. Tea tree oil can also treat minor wounds, encourage healing, and prevent infection, so you may want to add this versatile oil to your own first aid kit! Tea tree oil may help reduce fevers and end headache. Pain reliever. Treats lice .Can help lower blood pressure .Helpful for infections including vaginitis, sinusitis, cystitis. Anti-viral and anti-candida

2. Glycerin - Glycerin, chemically known as glycerol, is a sweet-tasting, non-toxic, syrupy liquid made from combining water and fat derived from vegetable oil. Because it is a humectant, it is a popular ingredient in skincare products. Perfect for dry skin, skin disorder, skin allergies, anti-aging, bruising.

3. Petroleum Jelly - Vaseline is a mixture of paraffin, wax and mineral oil that, when mixed, makes petroleum jelly. Petroleum jelly repels water and prevents the skin from drying out.

There's a lot of recipes that you can search or google it online. Why don't you try with me?

Elizabeth Arden

Elizabeth Arden : Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex 3.4oz - $ 59.99

As i promised in my ' Recent Purchase ' post, I'm going to write a review about Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference Refining Moisture Cream Complex (This is a looong name.) As i mentioned in my other post, I paid only about $20 @ Costco. I don't know if Costco still have this product because I haven't check it.

I had some skin troubles by the time I purchased this moisture cream and was very stressed out because it just looked ugly! I couldn't cover with my foundation, concealer etc.. More make up I put on my face to cover the troubles, the uglier it looked. So, I figured that I need to concentrate on my skin to recover from this ugliness. Anyways, my skin is little dry and if i don't put any cream on it gets flaky. So I've been using this moisture cream every morning and night for about two weeks or so. My first impression was wow, it is a huge bottle (I think I can use it for several months even with twice a day).  I just loved its simple design and also I was little surprised when I first used it. It calmed my troubles and instantly smooths my skin! I was yelling out to my boyfriend that it's a great buy. It still does great job on what it suppose to do and more. I'm glad that I purchased this product.

The only thing I don't like about it is the scent. It has some weird strong lemon scent. I personally don't like strong lemon scent but I still use it because it works great on me. So I guess I can deal with it. I saw some reviews of people who already purchased their seventh bottle of this moisture cream and still loving it.  So if you are lemon loving person, you will be very very satisfy with this product.

Overall, I recommend this product to whoever looking for a good moisture cream.

Beauty DIY: Brown Sugar Scrub

Grace Davidson Wednesday, March 20, 2013 4 Comments

I dig DIY beauty. I have a ton of ingredients in my cabinets from the baking I did this past winter, and now it’s time to give them another use. DIY scrubs are awesome because you can tailor them to your individual needs and desires. The sky is the limit as long as the sky is constrained to your kitchen or your wallet.
This scrub is pretty basic, and you can do a lot of modifications to suit your needs.

Here are the ingredients:

-     A container
-     Olive oil
-     Brown sugar
-     A vanilla bean

That’s a short list and these are gonna be short directions, so let’s go!

Fill your container 2/3 full of brown sugar. That smell? That’s the smell of awesomeness about to happen.
Crack open that vanilla bean and scrape it in there. It’s like baking, but you probably won’t eat this. (But you can, ya know? And if you want to, have a bite!)
Dump on some olive oil. You can make it as dry or as soggy as you want, so get it just how you like it.
Stir that mess up, put a lid on it, and call it a day because you are DUNZO!

You can change this up to suit your fancy. Don’t like vanilla? You and I disagree on that, but you can use whatever essential oil you want instead to make it smell different. Want to put some stuff in there to make your skin soft? Right on! Throw in some vitamin E oil and that mission is accomplished. What’s that you say? You’re serious about your exfoliation? I hear you and I’ve got you. Throw in some ground almonds and some white sugar, and let your epidermis feel the freshness.

Do you like to make your own beauty products? Do you have a favorite? Are you going to try this? Have you done something similar before? What were the results? Let’s meet up in the comments and talk DIY beauty.

Beauty DIY : Rosacea Relief -

Grace Davidson Monday, March 18, 2013 1 Comment

You'll Need: 4 chamomile tea bags, 4 green tea bags, 3 cups boiling water

Directions: Add tea bags to boiling water. I suggest using a pot or heat-safe bowl.Allow to steep for 10-15 minutes.Place tea in fridge or freezer until cool. Hot water will only exacerbate the symptoms, so allow it to cool.Soak cloth in the tea, wring out the excess, and place on red areas for 15 minutes.Feel free to repeat until relief or when the tea runs out.You can store the tea for up to a week. Just make sure it is cool, not cold, before using.

Benefits: The chamomile is calming and can alleviate puffy, tired eyes. It also helps to soothe skin with redness, skin inflammation, and rashes. The green tea has been proven to help with rosacea and with minor burns/redness, and sun damage.

Last night I went to the 99cents store to see if they have Sabiki rigs for fishing.(My bf and I found that is the one kept bring us fish and works better than expensive ones!) I was wondering around and saw this Nicel creams on the shelve. I just got them because it looks good and worth a try since it only cost a dollar each.  First of all I was little scared to try them so before I used it, I quick searched on Google.  Many people were satisfy with this creams so I started to put it on my face...

Review | Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray

Grace Davidson Friday, February 22, 2013 0 comment
I would say that I used to have clear skin but I'm having little troubles on my face for  several weeks now. I just hate it!  It looks weird even when i covers with the makeup. I don't know why but my skin/face gets really dry sometimes like way out of control. So, I thought maybe I need to drink more water and my skin needs more moisture.
