Hello girls! It's been almost a week that I haven't post anything on my blog.(Oh no!) I tried to schedule some posts for the week however obviously I didn't (oops). Time passes so quick when you are busy! It's been a hectic week, quite lots of things are going on in my life right now. 

Last week, I went back to school to expend my knowledge on web development & design to help my little hobby/business to grow little more professionally. All these time consuming projects are already trying to take over me.- It only has been a week but 5+ projects are due next week! Also had to deal with some unpleasant issue that recently occurred :(. So I am trying to manage myself to be more calm over stressful situations and i'd like to say a cup of coco water and writing a post helped me stay cool.

Anyway about the purchase, I needed to repurchase my perfume few months ago. I had a hard time picking one out of the Viktor & Rolf Flower bomb and this one. I didn't get a chance to smell the Flower bomb and didn't want to take a chance, I went with Chloe again.

 Normally the 2.5oz bottle cost $120 by itself however lucklily I found this 'deal' at Sephora website.
It's a gift set which includes 2.5oz perfume, lotion and mini bottle that I can carry in my bag.  When I wear this one, I get so many compliments and no joke, people ask about it all the time. On top of that I really love the scent. Honestly this one has been my favorite of all perfumes that I have and had, that's why I didn't hesitate to repurchase through online.  I spray this in the morning before I go to my class and it last until night before I go to bed without re spraying it. Also, the last time I had this perfume, it took me almost a year to use it all so the price isn't bad at all compare to how long it last.
I love it I love it and I love it.

Burt's Bees for Dogs : Itch Soothing Spray with Honeysuckle

 I never thought that I would see Burt's Bees products at the pet store. I actually went to the pet store the other day to get Leia's eye drop, then I saw two shelves full Burt's Bees products. I personally like Burt's Bees products especially their lipbalms, I wanted to get something for my dog. They had variety of products to choose from shampoo/conditioner to tear stain remover however I recently notice that Leia scratches herself so much, I've decided to get her their 'itch soothing spray with honeysuckle.'

Leia usually gets scared of sprays for some reasons and doesn't even let me spray a dog perfume on her. As soon as I got home, I tired to spray some on Leia too see the 'result.' Of course I had some hard time trying to spray this one just like usual however after few trials, she got used to it and finally let me spray without chasing. About for an hour after the spray, I didn't see her scratching herself so much like before. I mean, pets don't lie right? She wouldn't act like it's not itch anymore because she knows it's from Burt's Bees. I was very impressed how quick it worked on her. I bet she liked it as well :)

 If your dog is having itch skin etc, you might want to go check your local pet store to see if they carries this product. I got mine at the Petco so I am just assuming most of the pet stores now stock the Burt's Bees for Pet range.

It seems like most of posts I make are 'pink' related. Pink lipsticks, pink this and pink that. I thought I love every colors equally however I guess I have tiny more love towards pink compare to others. 

Anyway back to the point, I purchased this one quite long ago with other e.l.f products but honestly I didn't even remember that it was in my vanity drawer until few days ago.  

I have used stick cream blush but never tried any cream blush that is in a little container. I like the appearance of its container however it's way too big when I think of the product inside. Also the color on their website shows it as kind of coralish peach when the actual product is purely pink. I could have got mad over the difference of the color, but I only spend $6 so I really didn't mind.
You can use fingertips or stipple brush to apply it. I use my fingers instead of stipple brush because when I tried to apply it with stipple brush, It really didn't grab any color. The blush has like play doh feel when I touched it. It really doesn't have 'cream' blush feeling which I expected it to be more watery/creamy. Somehow the color was hard to get on my skin and when I tired it, it just gives a powder blush look.

To be honest, the color wasn't my taste and to me, it didn't really feel like 'cream' blush at all. Also the color was really hard to get on my skin - I had to apply some good amount of layers over and over to get the color. I'm just glad it wasn't a pricy product.

Red Apple Lipstick's Mineral Lipstick in Lovebird & Oh My Guava

 I love lipsticks. I love how it can change my mood depends on colors if it make sense.  When I've got contacted by Red Apple Lipstick, I was so thrilled. All of their products are non-toxic makeup which are soy,allergen,cruelty,gluten and paraben free. Red Apple Lipstick kindly sent me two lipsticks to try. As you know if you are my all time reader, when it comes to picking lipstick colors for myself, I normally go with pink or pinkish nude undertones. So this time again, I chose one pink lipstick and pink-nude one to be safe. Well, adding of to be safe, did you notice their name? Lovebird and Oh My Guava.. How cute? I mean, the names attracted me as well as their colors.

The packaging was pretty sleek, simple yet strong casing. It has little bumpy grips on the bottom of its container which will not allow your finger to be slide and reduce the chance of accident for me to drop it on the floor and ruin the whole lipstick. Also, it has name tag on the bottom of its case for easy stock in the lipstick organizer or drawers.

These lipsticks can be compare to the MAC's cream sheen finished products. It looks like it has some kind of shiny particles in the pictures showing above however does not have it- picture shows/explains how well it's going to be moisturize your lips. It's quite glossy enough that I don't have to use a lip-gloss on top of this lipsticks. In addition, the guide paper that came with this products recommended me to prepare my lips before using the lipsticks but it still looks great on my very dry lips without using a lip scrub. It feels very comfortable on my lips if you know what I mean.

One thing I notice was that it doesn't have those fakey kind of makeup scent/smell. In my opinion, it would be better if it had some kinds of little fruity or flowery smell to it but I am pretty amazed with these lipsticks quality and packaging. I know they are little pricey but as they claimed, it's healthy makeup! I saw on Red Apple Lipstick's  website that they are also selling other stuff such as lipliners, lipglosses, lip balm and eye shadows.

I must have to confess that I have my love for beauty products however actually didn't really care much about what's inside of products that i've been using. It was a great opportunity for me to try non-toxic makeup by myself and see the difference and open my eyes more to the healthy products. So if you are the person who always concern about makeup ingredients and try to look for better healthy makeup products, you might want to check Red Apple Lipstick.

After trying a sample of this spray at the Ulta, I knew I had to get it. I absolutely hate when my makeup start to melt during the summer. It's like better not to wear any makeup however this fabulous little bottle works so wonderful! It prevented my makeup from melting and made my face look fresh for a looooong time.

The other day, I spent whole day flying over from D.C to CA. I woke up really early that day did my makeup around 4o'clock. I sprayed some of this 'All Nighter'  all over my face and hope it will keep my makeup fresh until I get to CA - I wanted to look pretty when I see my boyfriend in two months. Also most of my makeup pouches were not with me, they were in the baggage so I HAD to trust this long-lasting makeup setting spray!

During the flight, I slept, rubbed my face probably, yawned so much and probably some tears while I was yawning.  Surprisingly, for real, my makeup didn't even smudged at all. usually it melts around my eyes and get really messy under my eyes. This time, it didn't happened. Also, my blush stayed like I just applied.

Honestly I am really really reaaaaaallly impressed with this bottle, I'm thinking about getting an oil control one as well. It's so compact to carry around but I really don't have to since one time spraying in the morning goes for a long time.

Estée Lauder Anti-Aging Creme

Revitalizing Supreme is the first Global anti-aging creme by Estée Lauder. Yes, It is an anti-aging product. Some of you might ask me that why do i need a good anti-aging products in the beginning of my twenties. Well, as I always said, good skin is everything. Some people might think 'oh my skin is perfectly fine.' Then once they get older, will see and realize how important it is to have a great skin and might be regret about not taking so much care on their skin when they were young.

 My mom used to tell me that I need to start taking care of my skin better since I was in high school. Honestly, I was a teenage girl who sometimes goes to sleep with the makeup on. Now as I'm thinking I was quite lucky that didn't breakout at all during my teenage after what I've done to my face.. Anyway back to the point, my mom recommended me to start using eye creme even though I didn't had any wrinkles. She also told me that using anti-aging product is not that i have any wrinkles but to prevent future wrinkles, and it will be much harder to get rid of it once I get one. So far, luckily, I don't find myself having serious wrinkle problems. 

Anyway, I decided to get this product after reading descriptions and reviews online. It claims It fights wrinkles, lack of shininess and dehydration. Estée Lauder ran several clinical tests to prove the results. According to these, 92% of women had their skin improved in less than four weeks. Less wrinkles, a better density and the shine of a healthy skin.

First of all, this was a little $$ for me since I am more like a budget friendly beauty lover. But, sometimes I do want a good skin care product and I gave it a go. Generally I do like Estée Lauder's skin care products. I like their scents, the thickness of their products, and pretty packaging etc.. This anti-aging creme has a nice thickness when I apply to my skin. Definitely has a stretch feeling after the application  which I always expect from any anti-aging products. I notice that it gets little warm. - I personally don't like those warm/hot feeling after using ANY kinds of beauty products.. This product has some decent amount of creme that I can use it for awhile. I wont be repurchase it just because It is a nice skin care product but I do think I don't need to spend so much on skin care as of right now. My skin isn't that bad and even I wouldnt use high end product, I will still find some affordable alternatives.

Pastel Nail Polishes

My love for pastel colors does not stop even in summer. Usually, I get tired of bold colors easily compare to pastel colors. Since I don't take care of my nails regularly, I needed something that I can wear for longer time without getting tired of its color.

I do use my hands a lot so my nails always peel so quickly like in three days or so. The worst part of it is that I am too lazy to take it off and for that reason ugly half-peeled nail polish remains on my nails forever until I feel like apply some new colors- that's when I find the polish on single nail is completely disappeared.

I must say, I've been quite impressed with the quality of these nail polishes. All three of these polishes glossy enough, and long lasting. Normally I can keep my nails perfect for three days, with these ones I can retain peel-free nails at least for a week. Of course, when I use a top-coat on top of it, It last longer.

I know Essie has some gorgeous pastel shades, however, I haven't purchased them yet. I need to get my hands on it soon! Anyway, you can find these atWalmart, Target as well as local drug stores.

ELF Lip Stain and Gloss

I have purchased this Lip Stain a long ago with bunch other stuff when e.l.f had a huge sale. It seems like they are having sales quite often and it's just crazy. Since it's so low-priced, i thought it will be good to try most of their product and find the hidden gem.

Generally, I do like e.l.f products but recently I found some that are not really worth buying it even its affordable price. So, I was hoping something out of this product and now I am in love with it.

I do enjoy both matte and glossy lipsticks so when I saw this one, I had to try it. I have similar shade lipstick from MAC-Tea Ceremony, which I really like, however, I was looking for some alternative lip products so I can carry it around with me when i go to place like beach, park etc.. I don't like to carry around lipstick(s) during Summer, not just because they melt in my bag and un-usuable, it makes me so sad! Anyway, for that reason, this lip stain was perfect choice for me.  It's cheap, similar shade to one I have and doesn't have to worry about melting in the weather.  Things I like about this product is that it doesn't dry out my lips even though it is 'lip stain.' Also, this one is creamier in texture compare to the Benefit's Benetint lip & cheek stain.

Only thing i didn't enjoy was the scent.  It smelled little funky but how can i complain when it's only $3?

 

Make up for ever : HD Invisible Cover foundation

 I have never used Make Up For Ever's foundation and this is my first ever experience. First of all, in my opinion,  $42 is pretty expensive for a one foundation and always scared that I wouldn't like it after the purchase.  Moreover, I use up my foundations or tinted moisturizers pretty quickly so in this case, the price does matter and affect my decision.  Thankfully, I got this one as a gift, now I had a chance to use it and could compare this one with some affordable ones.

The package of this foundation looks so simple and sleek. I really like its pump, it makes easy to use.
Since it was a gift, the shade was a bit lighter on my skin- It didn't match my skin perfectly but still okay.

This foundation is a very light weight and fresh feeling, however, I found it leaves a little cakey look in the beginning and blends into skin later on. When i used tiny bit, it still covered red spots completely. It usually takes double amount of other foundations so I would say this HD foundation does good job on covering blemishes and red spots with small amount.

Pros:

1.  Great coverage
2.  Nice package
3.  Usable pump on a bottle
4.  Light weight
5.  Looks great and flawless on-screen
6.  Multiple shades you can choose from

 Cons:

1. Pricey
2. I could see it stays in lines and wrinkles.
3. Looks a bit, tiny bit cakey in real life.

 I would probably stick with my No7 Tinted Moisturizer & Maybelline's dream liquid mousse for everyday use and might use this foundation on special occasion where I need photo-shoot or need complete coverage.

Dior Addict Ultra Gloss

Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect 347 Orange Raphia

 To start off, I don't like lip gloss in general and don't like those sticky feeling when I wear it on my lips. I am trying to love lip gloss so once in awhile my lips can look so moisturized if it makes sense and therefore I reached my hands to high priced product- thought $$$ will be better than $ which was kind of silly.   

This gloss is the newer version of the Dior Hologram Coral. I purchased this shade because I read a review of Hologram Coral and said it was a pretty, natural looking gloss. The package of this gloss is beautifully done with clear and rectangular outer casing, made from a heavy plastic, with 'Dior' in raised letters on one face. The top portion is also rectangular and is a clear deep blue, with a silver top and knob with 'CD' on it. The applicator is a brush.

However, this color didn't suite me well. Plus, it's more like metal sheen finished instead of pearl. I thought my grandma would love this color/finish more than me. It lasted quite long enough and of course it has sticky feeling but not too bad compare to other lip glosses. Less waxy or slippery, sticky feel.

Some of you might like this color and finish but obviously I didn't enjoy it as much as other did.

I am definitely on my journey of finding perfect lip gloss for summer and decided to try Make Up Forever's Aqua Rouge next.

Benefit's Benetint

When I was in high shcool in Korea, all the girls were not allowed to wear any makeup but who listens to that? Everyone was wearing a light weight BB cream (Misha was so popular back then..), along with barely noticeable lip tint. No eyeliner, no mascara just to give a little bit of aliveness on the face. Why am i talking about this? Well, I'm trying to tell you lovelies that this Benefit's benetint was one of my holygrail makeup items since then!

I've been using this fabulous lips/cheeks tint for several years and still in love with it. Honestly I didn't use it often as i did before after bleached my hair to lighter color just because I was in the zone of blonzers (blush+bronzer in one.) However, after colored my hair back to dark, I am opt for this benetint again. I look so dead when i'm bare face. So when I don't want to wear full makeup or too lazy, I just pick this up, and put several dots on my cheeks, lips and blend with my finger.

I really like its soft rosy flowery smell. I felt like this tint stay less longer on my lips for somehow but I really don't mind re-applying it. I feel like every lip products are same. You have to re-apply anyways after when you go out and eat, drink and stuff or is it just me?

Anyway, really I would recommend this for any who like to wear something everyday that's not too heavy/bold and for natural makeup look.
